The selectee will serve as an Investigative Protection Officer (IPO) in the George Bush Protective Division, Kennebunkport, ME. Typical work assignments include:
Securing physical facilities; assisting in conducting security searches; assisting in protective advances to identify critical and vulnerable facilities or sites; and installing surveillance equipment and devices. Assisting in investigative responsibilities to include physical surveillance and monitoring within the parameters of protective activities and active criminal investigations. Preparing reports and presentations to senior level management and providing routine technical advice and guidance. This Investigative Protection Officer position starts at a salary of $52,852 (GL-07, Step 1), or $58,944 (GL-09, Step 1) with promotion potential to $89,726 (GS-11, Step 10). You qualify for the GL-7 level (starting salary $52,852) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GL-5 level performing duties such as conducting physical surveillance and searches; maintaining security and control of assigned areas; and preparing reports of investigation.Or1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievementGL-9:
You qualify for the GL-9 level (starting salary $58,944) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GL-7 level performing duties such as collaborating with law enforcement stakeholders; responding to situations applying laws and regulations; preparing reports of investigations; maintaining a designated security post; and assisting in conducting security searches.OrMaster's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related or a combination of education and experience. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
